My name is Joy Wolf and I have been an employee of Simmering Center since 2021. I am also a recovering addict. I have always had a passion for caring for people and seeing the difference I
can make in a person’s life; it is a truly rewarding feeling. My grandmother was a nurse and
hearing her stories inspired me to become a nurse in 1992. In 2005, I started battling with
addiction and because of that, in 2008, decided to get out of the nursing profession. My
passion in life is still caring for people and by working at the Simmering Center, I am able to
fulfill that passion. I have met some pretty amazing people, both as coworkers and clients. I
have also had the opportunity to be involved in a client’s recovery and there is truly no other
feeling in the world than to be a part of that.
